URGENT Austria says retired colonel suspected of spying for Russia
Vienna, Nov 9, 2018 (AFP) - A retired colonel in the Austrian army is
suspected of having spied for Russia for several decades, Chancellor Sebastian
Kurz told a press conference on Friday.
Kurz said the colonel is suspected to have begun working with Russian
intelligence in the 1990s and carried on until 2018.
Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl has summoned the Russian ambassador over the
matter and cancelled an upcoming trip to Russia, Kurz added.
