URGENT Armed forces say will help police prevent Bolivia violence La Paz, Nov 12, 2019 (AFP) - Bolivia's armed forces announced on Monday joint operations with the police to prevent violence following the resignation of President Evo Morales. "The military command of the armed forces has arranged for joint operations with the police to prevent bloodshed and fighting amongst the Bolivian family," said General Williams Kaliman in a televised address. His pledge came shortly after the La Paz police requested military help, claiming it was "overrun" as hundreds of Morales supporters marched on the city. rb/lda/bc/dw
