army-defence URGENT Denmark says to withdraw special forces from Iraq Stockholm, May 17, 2018 (AFP) - NATO-member Denmark said Thursday it would withdraw its special forces from Iraq after fighting as part of a US-led coalition against the Islamic State group (IS). "We have now reached a point where we can begin withdrawing our special forces because (IS) no longer has control over large areas in Iraq," Danish foreign minister Anders Samuelsen said in a statement. gab/ik/dcr
