2.223 Billion $ Worth Sale to Taiwan July 10, 2019

 

US decided to export 2.223 Billion to Taiwan, a country that it does not officially recognise.  “The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the United States (TECRO) the statements read”.  US will sell M1A2T Abrams Tanks and related equipment and support for an estimated cost of $2 billion and Stinger missiles and related equipment and support for an estimated cost of $223.56 million.

TECRO has requested to buy 108 M1A2T Abrams Tanks; 122 M2 Chrysler Mount Machine Guns; 216 M240 Machine Guns; 14 M88A2 HERCULES Vehicles; 16 M1070A1 Heavy Equipment Transporters; 572 M1002 TPMP-T1 Rounds; 359 M831A1 HEAT Rounds; and 621 M865 TPCSPS-T2 Rounds, and 828 M830Al HEAT Rounds.  TECRO has also requested to buy 250 Block I -92F MANPAD Stinger missiles and four Block I -92F MANPAD Stinger Fly-to-Buy missiles.
