Amphibious Ship Building Speed Increases 11 June, 2019

China, which continues shipbuilding activities at very fast, will increase the speed of construction of amphibious ships after the destroyers.

The Chinese Shipyards, which recently launched the eighth of the Type 071 (Yuzhao) amphibious assault ship, are continuing their construction activities. The platform, which meets the sea at the Hudong-Zhonghua Shipyard in Shanghai, is the fourth 20,000-ton LPD launched since June 2017. The seventh of the ships, which underwent a very rapid construction process, was launched into the sea in eight months and the eighth after being laid down. The ships are ready to join the navy within 12 months as part of the ongoing construction and integration work on the sea.
