Morocco Choose Ukraine September 6, 2019

The Royal Moroccan Armed Forces have acquired a counter-drone system named Bukovel-AD, designed by the Ukranian company Proximus.

The platform is being imported as part of Morocco's five-year army modernization plan launched in 2017 in order to avoid the potential threat posed by increased UAV traffic in the country.

The system, which has the ability to early detect unmanned aerial vehicles, blocks data and GPS/GLONASS control channels. Bukovel-AD’s effective range reaches about 15 thousand meters. This Ukrainian system involves a ground controller who sends false detection signals to mislead its targets to neutralize the threat.
