New Contract Signed for EJ200 Engine 16 November, 2020

Eurojet will produce 56 EJ200 engines for the German Air Force.

Last week, the German Parliament's Budget Committee approved the purchase of 38 new Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft for the country's air force.

The engine contract signed in Munich covers the EJ200s for the purchase of the new Eurofighter Typhoon, which has been passing through parliament.

Engine modules will be produced by Rolls-Royce, MTU Aero Engines, ITP and Avio Aero under Eurojet's main contractor.

The final assembly of the engines is scheduled to take place at MTU Aero Engines and deliveries will begin starting in 2023.
