India completes Ashwin Advanced Air Defence missile tests 18 May, 2016

 

India’s Defence Research and Development Organization ( DRDO) tested successfully, the Advanced Air Defence (AAD) interceptor Ashwin. It was the twelfth fire test, with a total of ten being successful until now. Until now, the missiles have been fired both in endo-atmospheric and exo-atmospheric heights, below 40km and above 80km respectively. The latest test is considered to be the last one, thus opening the way for the systems induction to the Indian Armed Forces
