Capability Demo From 3,500 Km Away 18 September, 2017

Elbit Systems carried out a remotely operated live demonstration of its multi-mission Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV) system Seagull using control consoles situated 3 thousand 515-km away at DSEI Exhibition. Seagull performed an Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) mission sailing in the Haifa Bay, Israel. The platform demonstrated its ability to detect and classify objects in real-time.

The 12-meter long Seagull USV is designed to conduct ASW, Mine Hunting and Mine Sweeping (MCM), Electronic Warfare (EW), maritime security and underwater commercial missions. It features inherent command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence (C4I) capabilities for enhanced situation awareness and mission endurance of more than four days.
