A Second Joint Drill Decision by Russia and China

A Second Joint Drill Decision by Russia and China October 17, 2016

A second Sino-Russian joint anti-missile exercise will be conducted in 2017 in order to proactively strengthen bilateral coordinating measures. Announced on Tuesday at the Seventh Xiangshan Forum, a defence forum held in Beijing, China and Russia will conduct their second ever joint anti-missile drill reportedly upon The US and the Republic of Korea’s plans to deploy a Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) counter missile battery to the Republic of Korea. China expressed that the planned deployment was damaging to global strategic balance and regional security and stability. The Chinese and Russian militaries held their first computer-simulated anti-missile drill in May.
