USAF plans to use XQ-58A as datalink node between F-22 and F-35

USAF plans to use XQ-58A as datalink node between F-22 and F-35 14 November, 2019

Sometime next month, the U.S. Air Force plans to get the F-22’s Inter/Intra-Flight Data Link (IFDL) to talk with the F-35’s Multifunction Advanced Data Link (MADL). Both jets will share data with each other via the GatewayOne node that sits on top of pole. And if all goes well, the GatewayOne will be mounted on the XQ-58A four months later for further testing.

The event is hosted by North American Aerospace Defence Command and U.S. Northern Command.
