The US Encounters Regression in Arms Sales

The US Encounters Regression in Arms Sales 9 November, 2016

The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) announced the arms sales for fiscal Year 2016. The US has encountered 28 percent decrease in sales figures, in comparison with fiscal year 2015 and was able to reach $33.6 billion sales this year The total sales include $2.9 billion of Foreign Military Financing-funded cases; $5.0 billion in Building Partner Capacity-funded cases; and $25.7 billion funded by partner nations. Director of DSCA, Joseph Rixey stated that even though their process continued, some incomplete sales in fiscal year 2016 would also affect the total figures, therefore an annual comparison might be misleading.
