US Exports $ 1 Billion Worth Missile May 21, 2019

The State Department has decided to approve possible Foreign Military Sales to Republic of Korea (ROC),  Japan and Canada. SM-2 Block IIIB Standard missiles for ROC, AIM-120C-7 Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missiles (AMRAAM) for Japan and MK 54 lightweight torpedoes for Canada are at stake.

SM-2 Block IIIB Standard missiles costs $313.9 million, AIM-120C-7 Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missiles (AMRAAM) costs $317 million, MK 54 lightweight costs $387 million. Total export reaches 1 billion 17,9 million.

ROK has requested to buy up to 94 rounds of SM-2 Block IIIB Standard Missiles and twelve (12) MK 97 MOD 0 Guidance Sections for SM-2 Block IIIB. 

The Government of Japan has requested to buy 160 AIM-120C-7 Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missiles (AMRAAM), and one AIM-120C-7 AMRAAM guidance section.  

The Government of Canada has requested to buy 425 MK 54 lightweight torpedo conversion kits.  Also included are torpedo containers,
