Another Test-fire of Indian AGNI-5 Missile December 26, 2016

India successfully launched its nuclear capable ballistic missile ‘Agni-5’ from the Wheeler Island off Odisha coast on Monday. Indigenously-developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), intercontinental surface-to-surface missile has a range of more than 5 thousand kilometers and is able to carry a nuclear warhead of more than one tonne. First launched in April 2012, the three-stage solid propellant missile is 17-meter long and weighs arounds 50 tonnes. Today’s test marked the fourth developmental and second canisterised trial of Agni-5.
