ASELSAN to Provide Avenue's Electric 7 December, 2016

Sabancı Holding's Automotive Devision TEMSA and defence company ASELSAN launched Turkey's first 100 percent indigenious electric bus Avenue EV. Turkish Minister of Science, Industry and Technology Dr. Faruk Ozlu, Sabacı Holding CEO Zafer Kurtul and ASELSAN General Manager Faik Eken attended the ceremony held at Istanbul Sabacı Center. ASELSAN General Manager Eken stated that as a company, they achieved what could not be achieved in Turkey and explained their contributions to the bus; "We have designed and indigeniously manufactured the electric engine, engine driver unit, vehichle control unit, driver display panel, power control units and vehicle battery management system with our subcontractors."

The bus gets fully charged in eight minutes and is able to carry 88 passengers, one being on wheelchair.
