Modernisation Period in UAE Fleet 22 November, 2019

Mirage 2000 aircraft developed by France-based Dassault Aviation will be modernised. The platforms, which the United Arab Emirates (UAE) first decided to include in its inventory in 1983, will go through a modernisation process worth the US $ 462 million at the request of the UAE. UAE has also awarded a $350 million contract to France’s MBDA for ammunitions maintenance of the Mirage 2000 fighter fleet.

The Emirates has spent more than $4 billion on defence contracts in the first three days of Dubai Airshow 2019.
