Belgium to upgrade aging F-16 fleet January 16, 2016

The Belgian government has approved a plan to modernize Belgische Luchtmacht / Force Aerienne Belge (Belgian Air Force) aging F-16 fleet by 2030, but at a cost of a reduction in personnel. Cost of upgrade will be $10 billion however there will be a decrease in the military and civilian workforce from 32,000 to 25,000. The Belgian Air Force was one of the first four international customers for the F-16 Fighting Falcon. These aircrafts are block 15 standards.
