The UK Develops Amphibious Unmanned Land Vehicle 28 August, 2020

The United Kingdom is developing an unmanned ground vehicle that can be used in water for vital reconnaissance missions. The semi-autonomous vehicle will simultaneously transmit data from the ground to the command centre. This will calculate how the weight of bridges and armoured vehicles should be for the crossing.

According to a press release from us-based firm Jacobs, the firm has been selected to develop the new system.

Jacobs' 6th Sense data analysis system, developed by former radioactive facilities to create high-accuracy 3D maps before being removed from service, is planned to be used in the vehicle.
