BMC entered the Top 100

BMC entered the Top 100 July 24, 2019

BMC, the Izmir-based vehicle manufacturer, ranked fifth in the Defence News Top 100 list as the fifth Turkish company. Defence News magazine's revision of the previous year's defence turnover was revised for BMC.

When Defence News was published for the first time yesterday, it was stated that BMC's data were not listed in error; “Due to editorial oversight, BMC was not included in the original Top 100 ranking released July 22, despite submitting the company’s data before the final deadline. While rankings are not changed after list publication unless data of companies on the list is deemed incorrect, BMC has been added to the list in the appropriate location based upon reported defense revenue. Defense News regrets the error.”

With this revision, ASELSAN, Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc., STM Defence Technologies Engineering and Trade Inc. and ROKETSAN, BMC also registered its name on the Top 100 list. Thus, the number of Turkish companies in the list increased to five.

BMC shared its 85th place with STM in the list it entered for the first time. The company generated $ 655 million in revenue from operations last year. 85 percent of this income was provided from activities for the defence industry.
