Oxygen Solution For F-35 20 July, 2017

Honeywell, the manufacturer of the F-35’s onboard oxygen generation system (OBOGS), is to upgrade the system's algorithm associated with oxygen concentration to optimize the flow of oxygen. An F-35 joint program office spokesperson told Defense News that even though there was no indication the delivered oxygen concentration was a contributor to any of the recent events, they hoped this upgrade would prevent further deprivation issues.

According to F-35 joint program office, the cost of this upgrade work is still developing but the time estimate is around 24 months.
