Finland Seeks Combat Systems for Squadron 2020 22 December, 2016

Finland commenced a pursuit of a naval combat system for the Finnish Navy’s future Squadron 2020 vessels. The Finnish Defence Forces' Logistics Command issued a Request for Proposal for 12 companies with a deadline of 13 February 2017. Finland’s Squadron 2020 project covers construction of four vessels with situation assessment, air and surface defence, mobile underwater surveillance, underwater influence and sea mine warfare capabilities. Required combat system will consist of command and control systems, weapon systems, and sensor systems, and will include sea mines and missiles. The relevant tender is expected to be initiated within 2018.
