France and Germany agreed on the design work for the joint combat aircraft. With the agreement, the two countries will fund their design work.

Companies exhibiting their preliminary work at Euronaval 2018, which was held in recent weeks. Dassault and Airbus presented the results of recent preliminary studies to governments last days. Following the studies, the French and German governments agreed to continue the work. Thus, a step forward in the on of Europe's new genera jet was advanced. Companies will continue to design work and present its design works in the next year.

If the design works are approved, France and Germany will distribute tasks for production operations. In addition, according to a Reuters News Agency report, French Safran and German MTU will cooperate for the development of the aircraft’s engine.
