India has signed an contract with HAL (Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd.) to supply a light combat helicopter (LCH). The problem of fire support at high altitude conflicts will be tried to be solved with this procurement.

The helicopter, which weighs five and a half tons, propulsed with two engines and can operate at altitudes of over six thousand meters. The platform is equipped with a 20 millimeter gun and a 70 millimeter rocket and guided missiles.

A total of 15 helicopters planned to be procured for Indian Air Force 10 and Indian Land Forces plans to procure five.
