India postpones MILAN 2020 multilateral exercise due to coronavirus concerns 6 March, 2020

The Indian Navy’s multilateral exercise ‘MILAN 2020’, has been postponed owing to the spread of coronavirus that had claimed over 3,000 lives across the globe. The training was scheduled by the Indian Navy from March 18 to 28 in Visakhapatnam,

The event has been postponed, to provide the safety of the 30 participant Navies.  (including the US, Russia, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Republic of Korea, the UK, Australia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Iran, Sri Lanka, Thailand).

The exercise will be conducted later at a convenient date.

The focus exercise was maritime cooperation and interoperability.
