India Ordered Billion-Dollar Helicopters 26 February, 2020

Western-origin armament process continue in South Asia, where the arms race continues at full speed. The process of armament came back to the agenda with the new helicopter acquisition of India.

India, which has made strides for the establishment of the domestic defense industry with the "Make In India" Program, continues to import weapon procurement. New Delhi signed a new helicopter procurement contract with the USA.

The Armed Forces, will take delivery of the 24 MH-60R naval helicopter, and six additional AH-64I Apache Guardian attack helicopters under the agreement, the total cost of which is USD 3 billion. India, which has reached an important ground attack capability with Apaches, is aimed to increase the anti-submarine warfare capability of the navy with MH-60R helicopters.
