India to Purchase 100 Fighters 4 April, 2018

Indian Air Force (IAF) is to send out the request for information (RfI) for 100 fighter aircraft before the DefExpo which is scheduled to begin on 11 April.

All types of fighters that participated in medium multi-role combat aircraft (MMRCA) tender of 2007 would be eligible for consideration again, an official confirmed to Financial Express. Among the potential contenders are Boeing F-18 Super Hornet, Lockheed Martin F-16, Saab Gripen, Dassault Rafale, Eurofighter Typhoon and Mikoyan MiG-35. The estimated value of such an order is $15 billion.
