JLTV is Ready for Mission

JLTV is Ready for Mission 15 August, 2019

The U.S. Marine Corps’ Joint Light Tactical Vehicle is officially ready to deploy and support missions of the naval expeditionary force-in-readiness worldwide. Developed to replace HMMWV vehicles in the US Army and Marine Corps inventory, JLTV offers superior protection and terrain capability compared to its predecessor.

The JLTV, a program led by the U.S. Army, family of vehicles comes in different variants with multiple mission package configurations, all providing protected, sustained, networked mobility that balances payload, performance and protection across the full range of military operations. The program office started delivering vehicles to the infantry battalion last month.
