New Surface Combatant of Canada

New Surface Combatant of Canada October 31, 2018

Canada has made its decision for the new surface combatant. After the decision, the preferred candidate was announced. According to a statement from BAE Systems, it was reported that the selection was in favour of the Type 26 frigate.

Following the selection of Type 26 of Australia, the company emphasized Canada's most accurate choice. Type 26 ships, developed to replace Type 23 class platforms already serving in the Royal Navy, are intended to be important for the Royal Navy. Ship has a helicopter platform and designed to be 149,9 meters long. The first was launched in last January. Ships will have 7,000 nautical miles range. Royal Navy and the Royal Australian Navy had previously preferred the platform, which was expected to weigh 6,600 tons.
