Qatar Inked 24 Eurofighter Typhoon Contract December 11, 2017

Qatar signed a deal with the United Kingdom to purchase 24 Eurofighter Typhoon combat aircraft. Qatar's Defence Ministry announced that British Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson and Qatari counterpart Khalid bin Muhammad al-Atiyyah met in the capital Doha. During the meeting, an agreement was signed between the two countries to establish a 'joint operation fleet'.

In the statement, information on the value of the agreement and the delivery date of the aircraft were not disclosed. It was reported that the deal was worth about $ 8 billion. The deal also covers MBDA's Brimstone and Meteor missiles and Raytheon's Paveway IV laser-guided bomb.

Qatar has signed an agreement on Thursday to supply 12 Rafale aircraft from France.
