Korea's New Apache Fleet Conducts First Live-fire Exercise 30 December, 2016

The Republic of Korea’s new AH-64E Apache attack helicopter fleet participated a drill at a military range in Yangpyeong, on 29 December, where they held their first live-fire training exercise. During the drill, six Apache helicopters successfully hit two 70 mm rockets in hovering state and their other targets located two kms away. The Republic of Korea Army (RoKA) plans to introduce 36 Apaches to its service within May 2017. AH-64E Apache attack helicopter has a maximum cruising speed of 269 km/h and is able to carry air-to-ground AGM-114 Hellfire missiles and air-to-air AIM-92 Stingers.
