Pakistan Confirmed the Number 19 December, 2016

Pakistan’s National Assembly Standing Committee on Defense Production confirmed on 7 December that the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) currently operates 70 JF-17 Thunder fighter aircraft,  developed jointly by the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) and the Chengdu Aircraft Corporation (CAC) of China. PAF plans to purchase 150 JF-17s in total. The JF-17 Thunder is a lightweight, single-engine, multi-role combat aircraft, developed to replace PAF’s Dassault Mirage III/5 fighter jets by 2020. Powered by a single Russian RD-93 turbofan engine, JF-17s as an operational range of around 1,200 kilometers.
