5th Generation of Pakistan: Azm

5th Generation of Pakistan: Azm October 16, 2019

Project Azm, which includes the production of Pakistan's own fifth-generation aircraft, is accelerating. The first of the four conceptual design phases are completed.

Pakistan Air Force formally initiated Project Azm in July 2017 with the objective of developing an FGFA (Fifth Generation Fighter Aircraft), a medium-altitude and long-endurance (MALE) unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), new munitions, and other projects.

The Fifth-Generation Fighter Aircraft (FGFA) outlines the PAF’s ambition for developing a state of the art aviation industrial base within the country. This aviation industrial complex will support the defence capabilities of the country, alongside fulfilling civilian and commercial aviation needs.
