Philippines Fixed Eyes on Pasific 27 September, 2016

Philippines made a $ 5.3 million tender announcement for coastal surveillance system to support country’s offshore platforms on 23 September. Department of National Defense (DND) limited the potential suppliers to companies with known capability, declaring them as  Israel's Elbit Systems, Spain's Indra, Philippine’s Scan Marine, Singapore’s Baybridge Services, and Germany's Signalis. The contract is to cover three coastal watch stations and one support centre, which will be based in Northern Luzon.
