Positive Technical Results from the Largest Amphibian 6 December, 2017

The Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) has successfully completed the official technical quality assessment of the world's largest amphibious aircraft for its maiden flight. The technical evaluation of the aircraft was held in Zhuhai City in south China's Guangdong Province and confirmed the plane is ready for flight. 

AG600 The ‘Jiaolong’ (Water Dragon) is 37 meter in length, has a wingspan of 38,8 meters and a maximum take-off weight of 53,5 tonnes. 

China announced missions such as fighting forest fires, maritime search and rescue (SAR), monitoring of the marine environment, resource exploration and transportation for the AG600.
