Rafale to be Approved by Committee 9 September, 2016

The last stage of the agreement between India and France for 36 Rafale fighter jet, manufactured by Dassault, has been reached. Prolonged due to pricing and offset issues, the purchase is expected to be approved in the next Cabinet Committee of Security of the Indian Government to decide on India's defence expenditure. After negotiation process, France lowered the contract amount to $ 7,25 billion and offered 16 critical offset package as a part of the deal. Reportedly, Dassault will partner an Indian company to manufacture engines for Falcon executive jets.
