Raytheon to Upgrade Patriots 1 March, 2020

Raytheon's to upgrade the MIM-104 Patriot air defencee systems, which have been in the inventory of many countries for years.

Under the USD 314 million deal signed between the US Army and Raytheon, the company will modernize the Patriots. With the agreement covering the systems of 17 user countries, the company will provide engineering services to users in the system, software and hardware development, integration, testing services, configuration management and logistics support. The system, which will be integrated into the WMI (Warfighter Machine Interface) system, will observe the entire battlefield in 3D. Moreover, while increasing the resistance of the system by cyber attack, MIM-104s will be more reliable by reducing life cycle costs.

The agreement with the option of approximately 2 billion USD covers; United States of America, Netherlands, Germany, Japan, Israel, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Taiwan, Greece, Spain, Republic of Korea, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Romania, Sweden, Poland and the Kingdom of Bahrain.
