Raytheon Received $82M 'Sidewinder' Contract 15 June, 2017

Raytheon has been awarded a more than $82-million contract to produce AIM-9X Sidewinder air-to-air missiles to be delivered the US Navy and Air Force as well as the governments of Poland, Romania, Belgium and Indonesia. The contract also covers support equipment including guidance units and spare parts. 

AIM-9X Sidewinder is a short-range infrared air-to-air missile has a length of 3m, diameter of 12,7cm and weighs approximately 85 kg. AIM-9X can be integrated with wide range of aircraft including F/A-18C/D, F-15C, F/A-18E/F, F-15E, F-16, and F-22s.
