Republic of China Deployed Cavalry Brigade 18 July, 2018

Taiwan's Ministry of National Defence commissioned its air brigade equipped with AH-64E helicopters. Deployment of 29 AH-64E Apache Guardian in the Taiwan inventory a brigade named 601st Air Cavalry Brigade, which has been completed. The brigade has two Apache squadrons. The second squadron of the brigade completed the combat readiness training last year. Brigade is operates under the Army Aviation and Special Forces Command and is deployed to Taouyan's Longtan District in Northern Taiwan.

Helicopters are equipped with the 30mm M230 chain gun, the AGM-114 Hellfire missile,  2.75 inch Hydra rockets and the AIM-92 Stinger missile, which are standard weapons of the AH-64E Apache Guardian helicopters. In addition, the Taiwan Apaches, with its AN / APG-78 Longbow fire control and target detection radar, can detect and acquire targets within a 360-degree range of eight kilometers.

In 2008, Taiwan procured 30 AH-64E Apache Guardians cost of US $ 1.94 billion in the US. Delivery of the final package completed in October, 2014. One of the helicopters was heavily damaged during the training mission in April 2014.
