RMN is yet Undecided 9 November, 2016

Indonesian PT Pal and Malaysian Bousted Naval Shipyard are to collaborate on construction of a multirole support ship (MRSS) for Royal Malaysian Navy. The two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 2 November at Indo Defence 2016 exhibition, held in Jakarta. If the contract is awarded to BNS, this would be a first for these two countries, to work on a major vessel. The MRSS has an overall length of about 150 m and an overall beam of about 24 m. A 76 mm naval gun and several 12,7 mm macgine guns can be mounted on the vessel. The officials expressed that the negotiations continue between the BNS and Royal Malaysian Navy, therefore the final design is not yet resolved.
