The Royal Air Force continues to sell of surplus equipment. In this context, it was announced that an additional procurement made to a South Asian country.

According to a statement from Marshall Aerospace and Defense Group, the Bangladesh Air Force has procured additional C-130J Super Hercules from the Royal Air Force. Number of platforms which are serving in United Kingdom with the name of Hercules C5 is undisclosed.

It was reported that the aircraft were procured as an option under the first agreement signed in 2018. The Hercules C5 will replace the C-130B Hercules in the Bangladesh Air Force inventory. It is announced that the platforms will be delivered to the receiving country after MEDEVAC (Medical Evacuation) capability is integrated in accordance with the requirements of Bangladesh.
