Russian Tank Armata's Technical Problems Solved

Russian Tank Armata's Technical Problems Solved 3 August, 2020

Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov said technical disruptions to the T-14 Armata main combat tank have been resolved.

The T-14, which has tried many subsystems and concepts, was developed in 2011. 2018 was set as the deadline for the first party of the platform, equipped with a remotely commanded unmanned tower.

Russian authorities last announced the delivery date as 2020 due to disruptions in the tank's engine and thermal cameras, but another postponement has arrived.

Minister Manturov announced that the technical glitches in the tank's thermal imagers and engine have been resolved.

Russia, which wants to export Armata, said demand had been made for the platform from many unnamed countries.

The Kremlin is predicting 2021 as a new date for deliveries of tanks.
