Russia Fired Three Balistic Missiles 13 October, 2016

Russia test fired three intercontinental balistic missiles on 12 October. Georgiy Pobedonosets, a Project 667BDR Kalmar Class nuclear submarine from the pacific fleet, launched a billistic missile in the Sea of Okhotsk north of Japan while a project 667BDRM Delfin class strategic nuclear submarine Novomoskovsk conducted a launch of a R-29RM Sineva ballistic missile in the Barents Sea. The third missile, a RS-12M Topol, was fired from the Plesetsk space center. The Russian Defence Ministry stated that the launch of the missiles were to demonstrate high level of readiness and the effectiveness of command and control system of the naval strategic nuclear forces.
