Russia to receive 100 Armata tanks by 2018 29 April, 2016

The Russian Armed Forces will receive the first 100 mass-produced T-14 Armata Tanks by 2017-2018, according to Vyacheslav Khalitov, Deputy General Director of NPK Uralvagonzavod. The manufacturer underlined that the cost per vehicle could be lowered in batch volumes of 100-150 pieces, with streamlined production. Currently, the declared price of each T-14 Armata is around $3.8 million. The T-14 tank is capable of shooting up to ten rounds per minute, and can hit targets at a distance of seven kilometres.
