Russia to Test Tsirkon Missile Soon 23 March, 2020

The first test of the Tsirkon missile this year will be carried out from the Admiral Gorshkov frigate. A source from the Russian defence industry announced that Tsirkon will be tested in spring. The anti-ship cruise missile, which can reach 11,000 kilometres per hour, is expected to be based aboard both surface ships and submarines, including vessels equipped to carry existing Kalibr-class cruise missiles. The missile is also widely expected to be fitted aboard the new Husky class fifth-generation nuclear submarine presently in development.
