Russia is getting ready to purchase more than 100 units of T-14 Armata tanks. In an announcement made by the Russian Defence Ministry at the Army 2016 Exhibition held in Moscow, delivery of the first party was already made in line with the agreement signed with manufacturer Uralvagonzavod. Currently being tested by the Russian Army, the main armament of the T-14 is a 125 mm smoothbore cannon, and the secondary armament consists of a 12.7 mm and a 7.62 mm machine gun. Tanks have a range of 500 kilometres with a top speed of 80–90 kilometres per hour. Being the first third-generation tank in serial production, T-14 Armata will cost approximately $3,7 million per unit.
