US and Ukrainian Alliance Continues Despite COVID-19 18 June, 2020

Military equipment worth approximately 60 million U.S. dollars reached Ukraine, according to the US Embassy in Ukraine.

A large number of radios and munitions, including Javelin anti-tank missiles, have arrived in Ukraine. The embassy's official Twitter account emphasized that cooperation between the two countries continues despite the COVID-19 process.

" The United States stands strongly with Ukraine in support of its sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of Russian aggression,” the embassy said.

In March 2018, the United States approved the delivery of 210 Javelin anti-tank missiles to Ukraine, totalling $US47 million. In 2019, the US State Department approved the possible military sale of 150 FGM-148 Javelin to Ukraine.

Javelin is co-produced with Lockheed Martin and Raytheon. Anti-tank missiles that can be deployed on multiple platforms can also be operational in unmanned ground vehicles.
