Russian S-400 is Unable to Detect Israeli F-35s 20 September, 2019

Russian S-300 and S-400 air defence systems failed to detect Israeli F-35s flying over Damascus according to Israeli television channel NZIV.

NZIV, citing a number of military sources, published the flight route of the Israeli aircraft, which struck eastern Syria. It is claimed that İsraeli F-35s, Adir, entered the Syrian airspace and flew for almost several hundred kilometres over the area covered by Russian S-400 and Syrian S-300 air defence systems.

NZIV claims that another attack by the Israeli Air Force puts in question the effectiveness of Russian air and missile defence systems. The previous day, two Israeli warplanes were able to enter the Syrian air space without any hindrance.  Tv Channel claims that the Russian air defence systems simply did not notice the Adir.

Russia allowed Syria to use S-300 systems against an Israeli attack.

NZIV did not explain why Adirs flew over countries' most well protected city Damascus.
