Defined the Amount of Money to be Allocated to The Defence November 11, 2019

In these days when there is little time left for us to enter the new year, countries are starting to determine the amounts to be set for defence budgets. Ukraine will spend 3% of GDP on defence in 2020, totalling UAH USD 5.5 billion, Defence Minister Andriy Zahorodniuk said. He informed that the draft Law of Ukraine “On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2020” provides UAH 245.8 billion (USD 10 billion) for national security and defence expenditures which is 5.45% of GDP and meets the requirements of strategic planning documents. Compared to 2019, the spending rate shows an increase of 16 percent. According to the planning, 135.5 billion Ukrainian hryvnia will be spent for defence. For security, the budget of 110.3 billion Ukrainian hryvnia will be allocated.
