Indigeniously developed by the Centre for Airborne Systems (CABS) and scheduled to be handed over to the IAF on February 14, the new AWACS system is built on Brazilian-made Embraer-145 aircraft. According to Christopher's statements, indigenious AWACS will have 360 degree surveillance with a coverage area of 300 km when mounted on Airbus.
