SSM wants to procure a coast guard aircraft 4 April, 2016

Turkey’s procurement agency Undersecretariat for Defence Industries (SSM) has released a Request for Information (RFI) to purchase a coast guard aircraft. RFI read that the aircraft would be operated by the Turkish Coast Guard. According to RFI the airplane will fulfil the mission of observation at naval sovereign zones in the Mediterranean Sea and, performing reconnaissance flights to help prevent illegal immigration on the Aegean Sea, search and rescue operations, fighting illegal activity along the Turkish coastline and performing coastal reconnaissance.
